Theres a few things you should know about me by now. I am terribly unorganised, I like food and I am trying to save money. All these things don't fit well together and so inspired by quite a few bloggers out there I have decided to do a meal plan! For now these are going to be on a Monday but as my food shop comes every Thursday this may change in the future but meal plan Monday has quite a ring to it don't you think?
Our current budget is £30 a week for the main shop with my husband doing little top ups In between (and also the odd cheeky takeaway and meal out) and this includes cleaning supplies and toiletries. I don't have to buy many toiletries as I have a huge stash that I am currently working through! I am also going to take an inventory of everything I have in my kitchen and also keep a record of anything I throw away.
So this weeks plan!
Monday: Chicken Fajitas
Tuesday: Ratatouille & Sausage Tray Bake
Wednesday: Sausage & Bean Bake and Jacket Potatoes
Thursday: Boneless Beef Ribs, Sweetcorn and Green Beans
I'm not overly happy with the lack of fish this week, as I am trying to plan to have two lots of oily fish each week, lots of veg etc. It sounds silly but I don't have much confidence in my cooking and so I am trying to build up slowly to cooking more and more recipes. Do you meal plan? I would love to know your favourite meals!
